We’ve seen it happen over and over, the concert you want to attend is coming up but tickets have sold out in seconds.
Ticket brokers can make the price of show tickets soar, they buy up inventory quickly and then resell them on secondary markets like StubHub, Vivid Seats and Ticketmaster, with anywhere from a 50% to a 5,000% mark-up.

Get on the presale list - you may be able to score cheaper seats if you can get in before the general public can with a presale code
Check credit card perks: Ticketmaster offers exclusive presale opportunities to Chase, Citibank and American Express cardholders. And check your credit card perks you could be surprised to find discount codes or other features.
If you do buy from Ticketmaster, make sure it is legit. The Better Business Bureau is warning that you may be redirected to a look a like Ticketmaster site that asks for your credit card information.
Make it a vacation - you might be able to score seats for cheap in another city rather than your hometown. Depending on where you live, look for ticket centers like TKTS where you can score deals day of.
You can also try sites like Ticketwood, which scan the web for the best deals from several resale sites at the same time.
