The Paramount in Huntington is set to be sold to Live Nation.

The Paramount has been a staple in the community for over a decade, opening in 2011 with a sold-out concert by Elvis Costello. Since then, it has featured top acts like Billy Joel, Ed Sheeran, Willie Nelson and Pitbull.

The founding partners of the entertainment venue released a statement, saying in part, “We’re excited for this next chapter for The Paramount and all the incredible entertainment that will continue coming through Huntington.”

Huntington Town Supervisor Ed Smyth released a statement, saying, "The Paramount has been and will continue to be a world-famous venue bringing top performers to Huntington. The Paramount is fully invested in the local community, opening its doors to countless worthy causes. It is the model for other venues that look to make a mark on the world stage while supporting their local community. Huntington looks forward to continuing this great working relationship with Live Nation and the new management of the Paramount.”
