Well, the holiday season is here on Long Island and U BS Arena is getting in the Christmas spirit. They sure are the Great American Family Christmas Festival. It's in full swing right now in Elmont and our Rich Hoffman is there to show us what's going on? Rich. Where are you now? Right now? We're in the ice skating rink. There are so many different things to do. We just walked through Candy Cane lane past the Christmas tree with a light every session and there's an outdoor theater where they'll have the movies playing as well with some of the talent and we're with Bill Abbott, the President Ceo of Great American family and you're a Long Islander. So this is great that you, this is all coming together. How did this start out? So, uh John Ledecky is uh a friend and, and uh understands our movies, loves our movies and loves our content and knows the talent really well. And so he thought it would be a great idea to, to bring the talent here and to create this immersive experience. And so, you know, you think of Christmas movies, you think of ice skating, you think of an immersive overall uh experience for Long Islanders and the Islanders have done so much for the community and you look at this great arena that's been built and the ownership really cares about the fans. And this is one great example of that and a family event, a great American family, a family event, very important to us. We want the families to celebrate together. Hockey fans could come out and celebrate here and, uh, there's nothing better at Christmas time than hockey Christmas movies and great American family. Absolutely. We have the Christmas tree. We have igloos hot Chocolate kids can write lettuce to Santa. So there's so many different things here and coming up soon we're gonna be talking about North Shore animals. Yeah, North Shore Animal League has been a great partner and they're here with us today. They're here throughout the festival and adopt dogs and cats and kittens and puppies and, uh, they do a great job in the community as well. Thank you very much. We're gonna be looking more at the puppies playing with the puppies in just a little bit. We're gonna be showing you more things here and in the next hour we're gonna be talking with Jill Wagner, one of the stars of the movies that you'll be able to watch here this weekend. All the different sessions, the hot chocolate. And, uh, yeah, you definitely have to bundle up. We do have some very cold weather conditions in the next 24 hours.

Holiday season is here on Long Island and UBS Arena is getting into the Christmas spirit. Yes. The Great American Family Christmas Festival. It's in full swing right now in Elmont. Our Rich Hoffman is there to show us what's going on. Hey, Rich. Yeah, good morning, Jen and, and Rich, we have so many things going on here at the Great American Family Christmas Christmas Festival. We're in one of the igloos because it's been so cold outside. Great winter time feel to it. And there are so many things going on. One of them is you could watch some of the movies and one I think an amazing talent here, Joe Wagner, a lot of different movies, a lot of different projects. You have one movie out this year that, um Christmas Under the Northern Lights and, uh, looking forward to watching it and tell me a little bit about that and all the things that you're gonna be doing here as well. Yeah. Well, first of all, hello, New York. I, I love being here and it's an honor to be a part of the festival. Um, my new movie Christmas Under the Northern Lights is something really special and even has a cameo of my two daughters in there that I snuck in there. So anybody that's watching, yes, they are my daughters. Um, but yeah, I just can't wait to meet the, all of the fans and, and talk to people and shake hands and, uh, and I'm so in the Christmas spirit this year. So, and that's one of the things that makes this special. You're going to be walking around, you're going to be able to meet people, taking selfies with some of your fans. Yeah, that's to me why I do this. I really like to connect to people. I like to hear those personal stories about what the movies do for that person or a family member. So it's just an honor to get to meet everybody and say hello. And you're gonna be here Saturday and Sunday morning at the event. And uh how do you like New York so far? I mean, New York, New York. I love it. I mean, I do, I am a country girl at heart, but I do love your food here. I gotta say you guys have some of the best food. Uh But yeah, it's, it's a fun time. I'm here with my husband. So it's a little, little vacation for us. All right, we'll talk more about your movies, some of the other projects you have coming up, more details on that, more on the festival, those details coming up in the next half hour.
