Police were on the hunt Friday for a gunman who shot a teen in Brentwood.
According to police, the 18-year-old boy was gunned down on Eisenhower Avenue around 9 p.m. Thursday. Cops say he was walking out of his friend's house when a car pulled up and a man got out of the vehicle, firing three shots at the teen.
One bullet hit the teen in the stomach. He was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital where he is being treated. Police believe the teen was specifically targeted. His uncle, who didn't give his name, said his nephew is from the Virgin Islands and doesn't know many people here.
"He's just visiting here, why would he be specifically targeted?" said the victim's uncle, who didn't give his name. "He don't even live here."
