Suspected Gilgo Beach serial killer Rex Heuermann is expected to appear in court this morning.
Heuermann is currently charged in the deaths of six women - Megan Waterman, Melissa Barthelemy, Amber Costello, Maureen Brainard-Barnes, Jessica Taylor and Sandra Costilla.
The 60-year-old from Massapequa Park was arrested last summer and has pleaded not guilty to all charges. His attorney has previously said he’s looking to have the cases tried separately.
Last month, investigators released a sketch of an unidentified Asian victim found in 2010 off Ocean Parkway - about 300 feet away from the remains of one of Heurmanns alleged victims.
Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney has not said whether or not Heuermann is a suspect in that death, although court records show Heuermann did search online for Asian men and women.
No trial date has been set as of yet.
