The superintendent for the South Country Central School District says that the remainder of the boy's junior varsity lacrosse season has been canceled.
An investigation is underway into an alleged incident involving the team, but the district has not released details about the allegations.
In a statement, the superintendent said, "The district is taking this matter extremely seriously and does not and will not condone any behaviors that are not consistent with our Code of Conduct. The district is conducting an ongoing investigation and we will have no further comment at this time."
