Suffolk SPCA: Amityville woman charged with animal cruelty

It says a 3-year-old male Shih Tzu-poodle mix was found severely matted, covered with flea and had an open wound.

The Suffolk County Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals says an Amityville woman has been charged with animal cruelty.
The SPCA says a 3-year-old male Shih Tzu-poodle mix was found severely matted, covered with fleas and had an open wound.
The dog was removed from 59-year-old Carolyn Robinson's house.
The animal received treatment and was adopted to a new family.
