Suffolk residents are being asked to conserve water,
according to officials.
Officials say all the hot weather is pushing the
water authority's infrastructure to its
limits.
The water authority is asking residents to water their
lawn on odd or even days.
In
addition, residents are being asked to set sprinklers to go off during times other than between 3 a.m.
and 7 a.m.
Residents are encourage to use
a rain sensor to manage lawn watering. The devices also help make sure you
don't over water your lawn and can help save money on bills.
