Suffolk police: Car collision in Nesconset injures 2 drivers

According to detectives, a Kia and Lexus collided on Middle Country at around 8:45 a.m.

Suffolk police say two people were injured after a two-car crash Saturday morning in Nesconset.

According to detectives, a Kia and Lexus collided on Middle Country at around 8:45 a.m.

They say the driver of the Kia, 78-year-old Detlev Lindenberg, was transported to Stony Brook Hospital with serious injuries.

The other driver identified as 82-year-old Albin Hass, was also treated at the hospital for minor injuries.

The cause of the crash was not immediately known as of Saturday evening.
