Suffolk PBA: Officer previously on ventilator from LIE pursuit and crash has improved to ‘fair’ condition

As News 12 has reported, Officer Gallagher was left in critical condition when authorities say he attempted to pull over a speeding driver on the Long Island Expressway.

Suffolk County Police Officer Brendon Gallagher’s condition has been upgraded from serious to fair, according to a post on X from the Suffolk County PBA.
The post also said that Gallagher has been taken off the ventilator he was on as his condition improves.
As News 12 has reported, Officer Gallagher was left in critical condition when authorities say he attempted to pull over a speeding driver on the Long Island Expressway. Police say that driver struck Gallagher’s vehicle, causing it to hit a tree and overturn.
