A Suffolk police officer is recovering after a crash.
It happened on Straight Path near 6th Street in West Babylon around 10 p.m. Saturday
News 12 is told the officer's patrol vehicle was hit on the side by an SUV.
The officer was taken to the hospital for minor injuries.
No one else was hurt.
No charges have been filed.
