Officials say bird flu has been detected on Long Island.
Suffolk health officials tell News 12 it was found at a commercial poultry farm in the county. The USDA website says that farm is a commercial duck meat farm.
.Officials did not release the name of the farm and say it is expected to bring minimal risk to the public.
According to officials, none of the farm workers who may have been exposed are sick at this time
