A West Islip man was charged Friday with killing his aunt’s dog.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says it happened in July 2022 when Peter Minichello was left alone with the dog named “Pup-Pup.”
News 12 is told when the aunt came home, she found the dog not moving and covered in blood and bruises.
The dog died days later. The cause of death was a traumatic brain injury.
Minichello is not allowed to own animals while his case plays out in court.
