Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney says a special grand jury's report on how the county's Child Protective Services handled the Thomas Valva case will be released on Thursday.
The report is expected to contain recommendations to improve the CPS system.
Valva's father, Michael Valva and his then-fiancee Angela Pollina, were convicted of killing the 8-year-old in 2020.
Michael Valva and Pollina forced Thomas Valva and his brother to spend the night in their unheated Center Moriches garage in the middle of January.
