Smithtown man charged with selling cocaine in fatal overdose

A Smithtown man has been indicted for allegedly selling cocaine to a man who fatally overdosed, and a woman who nearly died.
According to Suffolk District Attorney Ray Tierney, Keith DiBartolomeo, 51, left the woman lying in a driveway for more than four hours in January.
When she arrived at the hospital, prosecutors say her body temperature was 82.8 degrees.
Authorities say a bag with fentanyl residue was also discovered.
DiBartolomeo was charged with criminal sale of a controlled substance, possession of a controlled substance and reckless endangerment.
He was released with a GPS monitor. He is due back in court Oct. 31.
