The former treasurer of the Bellport Teachers Association Affiliates Union has been arrested for allegedly stealing over $20,000 in union dues.
The Suffolk County district attorney's office says 54-year-old Fannie Bowe used her union-issued debit card to make personal purchases between July 2021 and January 2023.
Bowe also worked as a school monitor.
If convicted, Bowe faces up to seven years behind bars.
