6h agoA couple has been sentenced in connection to the fatal stabbing of a man on the Setauket-Port Jefferson Station Greenway Trail in 2021, according to the Suffolk County district attorney.
Jose Martinez-Vazquez admitted to killing Benjamin Flores-Mendez in May. He will spend 20 years to life in prison.
Martinez-Vazquez's girlfriend, Tiffany Diaz-Cabrera, confessed to being a lookout during the murder. She was sentenced to 15 years to life in prison.
