Suffolk DA: 2 IRS workers from county stole thousands in COVID relief funds

Two Suffolk County IRS workers have been charged with fraud for taking money meant for COVID-19 relief, police say.

Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney says Tina White, of Bellport, and Shawana Williams, of Centereach, filed claims for small business loans for businesses that did not exist.

Both women received money but when their applications were denied, they did not return it.
