Changes could be coming to a dangerous intersection in West Babylon. It comes after a deadly crash that left two teenagers dead. Community members are pleading with town and county officials to create safer roads.
Babylon Town Supervisor Rich Schaeffer tells News 12 that since July, the town has been asking for a traffic study that focused on a stretch of road further down the road. Babylon town officials want to expedite the process after recent crashes and have the study cover the area where the crash occurred.

Jill Kology has lived along Great East Neck Road in West Babylon for decades. She says the problem at the deadly intersection could have been solved years ago. “When you hear an accident at the corner, you feel like, ‘uh, another one.’ it has become a way of life here, and it's not fair,” said Jill Kology.
A wake was held Wednesday evening for one of the victims of the crash.
