Suffolk County now has new voting machines.
The county's Board of Elections says they're all electronic and you can print out your ballot and look it over before submitting it.
The legislature approved $35 million for the new technology last year.
Some poll workers tell News 12 they're hopeful it will make the process easier and more secure.
"You won't need the rows of those voting booths to take the big paper ballot and write on it. You'll do that standing in front of the screen with the privacy screen around you. I think it's a really good improvement,” says Janet Allen, a Huntington Station poll worker.
Residents had the chance to test out the new machines at Huntington Town Hall on Monday.
You can also get familiar with them at the Sayville Library later this month.
The new machines will be used for the first time for the June primaries.
