The state mass vaccination site at Suffolk Community College in Brentwood is one of three mass vaccination sites closing.
Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced Wednesday that the state-run site in Brentwood will close Friday.
As one door closes another one opens - a few blocks away, a new site is opening at the Brentwood Recreation Center.
Islip Town Supervisor Angie Carpenter says the site, which had been a testing site, is transitioning to a vaccination site.
One woman News 12 spoke to in Suffolk says with the sites closing, she hopes that people who want to get vaccinated will still have access.
The state-run sites at Stony Brook Southampton, SUNY Old Westbury, Stony Brook and Jones Beach Field 3 are still open.
