Nassau Community College has brought in food trucks for the rest of the semester to soften the blow for students who lost their cafeteria food services two weeks ago.
‘No Good Burger’ from Baldwin and ‘The Big Cheese’ from Bellmore are on campus on select days, and students say they like the food, though some are concerned about the lack of dietary choices.
There’s also the prices, which some say are too high for a college student’s budget.
NCC’s administration says they worked out a deal with the trucks to cut the prices, providing a student discount, which both trucks have prominently displayed.
They also say they plan to have a full food service program up and running by late July, early August – and are seeking bids for cafeteria service providers starting next week.
