Students at Adelphi University held a pro-Palestinian protest Monday on the Garden City campus.
Organizers of the rally called on the school to disclose its financial records as groups across the country have been asking colleges to cut ties with certain companies that do business with Israel.
Protesters at Adelphi also called on the school to take down the Israeli flag on campus and reform its hate speech policy and student code of conduct.
In a statement, Adelphi says, "The university fully believes in the importance of fostering an environment where students and community members have the freedom to peacefully express themselves."
