Brooklyn Tech HS evacuated after bomb threat

Brooklyn Technical High School was evacuated today after a bomb threat.
Police responded to the scene at Fort Greene Place and Dekalb Avenue a little after 8 a.m.
The Department of Education tells News 12 that all students and staff were moved to a Long Island University campus nearby, while police searched the building.
The Department of Education released a statement saying, "Safety always comes first, and Brooklyn Tech students and staff were immediately and safely relocated to Long Island University while the NYPD conducted a thorough search of the building due to a potential threat. NYPD cleared the building, all students and staff are safe, and they are returning for the remainder of the school day. We'll continue to closely monitor this school and provide additional security."
They have since given the all clear at the high school saying it is safe to go back in.
