Storm Watch Team Meteorologist Sam Augeri says expect warm, wet and windy weather for Wednesday. Highs will be in the 50s but expect gusty winds and periods of heavy rain.
HEADLINES:
  • Wind Advisory for the East End from 6 p.m. Wednesday to 7 a.m. Thursday. Southwest to northwest winds 20 to 25 mph gusting to 50. Nassau County winds gusting up to 40 mph.
-Rain showers arrive continue on and off through Wednesday. A period of brief heavy rain will arrive Wednesday evening before ending at night. Rain totals 1 to 2 inches.
-Mild weather continues with a big cool down on Thursday with more seasonable weather. Mild temperatures return for the weekend into next week
OVERNIGHT: Cloudy and breezy with rain showers. Mild with lows near 49 degrees. South wind 10 to 20 mph. Sunrise: 6:29
WEDNESDAY: Cloudy and windy with periods of rain. Chance for heavy rain during the evening. Highs near 56. Southwest winds 20 to 25 mph with gusts 45 to 50 mph. Rain ends early at night with mostly cloudy skies and gusty winds shifting to the northwest. Lows near 32. Sunset: 5:42
