WHAT'S NEW: We now have a WIND ADVISORY and COASTAL FLOOD WARNING for Long Island. Winds tonight could gust up to 50 mph with heavy rainfall. The advisory is for midnight through 6AM so the worst of it is overnight. The Coastal Flood Warning is for 2AM to Noon across Long Island.
WHAT'S NEXT: Improving weather by Saturday afternoon into Sunday, Most of next week looks quiet but we are tracking the chance for a light wintry mix and rain Tuesday morning.

OVERNIGHT: Periods of rain, heavy at times. Chance of thunderstorms. Rain totals 1 to 2 inches. Strong east winds 20 to 30 mph gusting up to 50. Chance for isolated power outages and coastal flooding by morning. Lows near 40 degrees.
SATURDAY: Morning showers taper off. Mostly cloudy and breezy with some afternoon sun. Highs near 45. East to northwest winds 10 to 20 mph.
SATURDAY NIGHT: Partly cloudy and cold with lows near 32. North wind 5 to 10 mph.
SUNDAY: Sun and clouds. Nice with highs near 48. Lows near 32.
MONDAY: Sun and clouds. Highs near 48. Lows near 34.
