This year, this full moon is the first of four consecutive supermoons. That just means it will appear slightly brighter and larger than usual but is still cool to check out. The weather will be clear and comfortable. Be sure to tag News 12 in any photos you take!
We have one more day of this warm and dry weather on Tuesday ahead of those midweek weather changes. You will notice clouds increasing gradually tomorrow, but it is another great outdoor weather day.
Late tomorrow night, towards and after midnight, rain develops from west to east across Long Island. Plan on needing some extra travel time on Wednesday morning. By the time you head home in the afternoon on Wednesday, the rain will be over. We expect an average of around 1 inch of much-needed rain.
That rain will help to bring in much cooler weather for the end of the week, too. Our next possible storm system after Wednesday morning will be the chance for more rain and possibly some wind Sunday into Monday.
The News 12 Storm Watch Team will have important updates on that weekend rain chance for you throughout the week.
