The latest winter storm made travel difficult in some South Shore communities, but not just because of the snow.
Floodwaters seeped into places like Island Park, where residents say they are fed up with the problem. They say extra high tides backing up sewers are to blame.
By the afternoon, much of the water had drained in Island Park, leaving a soggy mess in its wake.
The National Weather Service issued coastal flood warnings and advisories for parts of the Island Monday.
