A store offering anime themed goods opened Friday.
Arisu is located in Fairfield on Kings Highway East.
Arisu will sell Japanese pop culture items, including anime merchandise, comics and Japanese-style convenience store food.
The store offers customers a unique retail experience.
"Our vision is to let people feel like they are stepping into another world, in this case Tokyo, with all our statues, coloring, our feature decor," says owner Ellie Greenberg. "We have a lot of interactive elements."
Connecticut has only one other anime store, located in Mystic.
