More than 2,000 pounds of kosher food was donated to the Rina Shkolnik Kosher Food Pantry in Cedarhurst.

Rabbis, community leaders, residents and local officials were on hand to receive the donation from Stop & Shop – part of an effort to keep food on the table for families celebrating Passover this month. The Rina Shkolnik Kosher Food Pantry was established back in 2005 and is now the largest kosher food pantry on Long Island, helping more than 800 families.

The food donated included jarred gefilte fish, matzah, matzah crackers, macaroons, cottonseed oil and canned tuna.
