As Clark Griswold once said: "Burn some dust here, eat my rubber."
A roadside confrontation between actor and Bedford resident Chevy Chase and a 22-year-old from Long Island led to an arrest earlier this month.
State police say Chase, 74, was traveling northbound on I-87 near the Gov. Mario M Cuomo Bridge, when he was reportedly cut off by a 2015 Dodge Ram.
According to state police, Chase, believing that his vehicle may have been struck, began to follow the vehicle, as well as flash his headlights.
They say both drivers subsequently pulled over in the vicinity of exit 10 in the village of South Nyack.
According to the investigation, words were exchanged between the drivers. Then, Michael C. Landrio, of East Patchogue, a passenger in the Dodge Ram, allegedly kicked Chase in the shoulder.
Landrio was arrested and was charged with harassment in the second degree. He was released on an appearance ticket made returnable on March 5 in South Nyack Court.
