Uniondale parents learned Friday that scores their children received on statewide math tests the last two years have been invalidated.
Officials say they?ve found discrepancies in the results of last year?s Math Regents and the third through eighth-grade math test. They believe someone in the district tried to boost scores by altering them. Officials have responded by canceling the results.
A statement from the School Board president says the district adheres ?to a zero tolerance policy regarding any modification of or tampering with student testing.?
Students say they are upset about the time they put in to studying that their tests aren?t valid. Parents say they are angry at the message this sends to their children about cheating.
No students have been implicated in the grading scandal.
