The State Department of Health says a resident of Bergen County has a confirmed case of the measles.

It says anyone who visited the Englewood Hospital Emergency Department on Feb. 9 between 11:30 a.m. and 5:30 p.m. may have been exposed and should speak with a doctor immediately.

According to health officials, measles symptoms include a high fever, cough, runny nose, watery, red eyes and a rash that usually appears three to five days after symptoms begin.

The Department of Health is urging people to stay up to date on measles, mumps and rubella vaccines.
