The state attorney general has officially launched an investigation into the police-involved shooting in Massapequa.
As News 12 has reported, two NYPD officers tried to pull Jeremy Bennett over in Jamaica last Friday night.
Bennett allegedly drove off, nearly running the officers over, driving through Nassau County and never stopping.
Bennett ended up hitting police cars and losing control in Massapequa.
Bennett was then shot after refusing to surrender.
A total of eight people were injured, including seven officers.
