The employees at three different Starbucks locations on Long Island are on strike Sunday.
Workers who were scheduled to be in the Farmingville, Wantagh and Lynbrook stores did not show up for their shifts. Instead, they are marching in the Pride Parade in New York City.
The workers are upset over what their union says is a clash over in-store decor that has to do with support for LGBTQ+ causes.
The company denies it has banned any such displays and accused the union of misinformation as a tactic in labor talks.
