The Starbucks on 7th Avenue in Park Slope is expected to close its doors for good on Jan. 31.

The announcement comes just months after the store successfully unionized in October, leaving both workers and customers upset with the news.

Inside the Starbucks, a "memory wall" serves as a way to highlight its importance in the community.

Some share stories of friendships formed, while others describe the shop as a cozy haven.

A petition to save the Starbucks has also been pinned to the wall, reflecting the outpouring of support from the neighborhood.

“It’s just a real part of the community,” said Kristen Finch, a Park Slope resident. “Even during the pandemic, it opened quickly and it’s always been here. The people that work here are great. It’s really sad that it’s not gonna be here anymore.”

News 12 reached out to Starbucks Workers United on the closure but have not heard back as of Tuesday evening.
