A staffer for New York state Sen. John Brooks says she was racially harassed in Massapequa.
News 12 is told the staff member, of South Asian descent, was walking from the Massapequa Long Island Rail Road train station to the district office when two men in a car pulled up and cut off her path.
She says the man on the passenger side leaned out the window and began shouting racially charged insults at her.
She was not physically injured and has since returned to work.
Nassau County police say anyone with information about the incident to contact them.
