A St. Anthony’s High School senior is going places in life – but before that, she will be competing in the finals of the 2022 Junior Science and Humanities Symposium at York College at the end of the month.
Amanda Ferrante is one of 12 science research students on Long Island to compete. Her paper – The Implications of DNA Barcoding and Modeling in Analyzing Similarities, Differences, and Potential Structural Mutations in Insect Genomes – will be presented.
If it’s among the top five papers, she will move on to the national finals in Albuquerque, New Mexico, in late April. There, she can win cash and scholarships.
