Sources tell News 12 Long Island that police are investigating a sexual assault allegation at a Nassau firehouse.
Nassau police confirm they are investigating an unusual and suspicious incident that happened at the Massapequa Fire Department during the early morning hours of Tuesday, April 10. Sources say that the investigation centers around a possible sex assault.
Police were called to the firehouse on Merrick Road at 1:15 a.m. Tuesday. Sources say a young female claimed to have been sexually assaulted.
When reached for comment, Massapequa Fire Chief Kevin Stansberry would only say that the department is cooperating fully with Nassau police.
