Some school districts in New Jersey are letting students out earlier this week or postponing graduation due to an expected heat wave.

News 12 New Jersey’s Lauren Due is live outside Bridgewater Raritan High School with details on how some schools plan to finish out the school year.

• Bridgewater Raritan has an early dismissal for students today because of the forecasted excessive heat. For the rest of week, Wednesday and Thursday, there were already scheduled four-hour sessions.

• Clifton High School’s graduation was moved from 3 to 7 p.m. on Thursday to avoid the peak heat of the day.

• East Orange schools have a half-day today, Thursday and Friday.

• Old Bridge School District will implement early dismissals for students and staff for Wednesday and Thursday. Additionally, Friday will proceed as scheduled early dismissal and will be the last day of school.

• Perth Amboy Public Schools will have an early dismissal this week on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday. School No. 7 and Hmieleski School will both be dismissed at 12:45 p.m.
