Snow-covered bus stops and sidewalks cause safety concerns days after blizzard
It's been four days after the blizzard, and Long Islanders are still dealing with safety concerns from the snow.

It's a scary wait for the bus in Central Islip, where riders are being forced to stand in the road on East Suffolk Avenue because the sidewalks in front of the bus stops are still not shoveled.
"You get hit by a car, then what's going to happen? We're either going to die, or we're going to be really critically injured, because they don't want to clean that up," said Juliet Johnson, of Central Islip.
The sidewalk from East Suffolk Avenue up to the train platform is a slushy and slippery path.
"It was slippery and there was no shoveling," said Cynthia Peart, of Valley Stream.
Suffolk County officials tell News 12 the county is still working to clear bus stops following this historic snowfall.
In Nassau, residents are navigating unshoveled sidewalks as well. The Town of Hempstead says businesses are responsible for shoveling in front of their stores.
The sidewalk and school crossing on Hempstead Turnpike at Division Avenue in Levittown remained unshoveled Thursday, forcing people to walk into the busy road to cross.
News 12 alerted the town, which notified the 7-Eleven.
An employee then started shoveling the area.
