The Smithtown Highway Department worked through the night to break up big snow banks leftover from the historic blizzard.
The town tells News 12 they focused on mounds on Main Street in Smithtown first.
Some roadways were closed so crews could roll in with large trucks.
The removal will happen again Thursday night on Main Street in Kings Park and Lake Avenue in St. James.
Expect road closures in those areas from 10 p.m. to 6 a.m.
