Looking day out there. But it's definitely better today than it is tomorrow and we even have a few peaks of sun. Possible. We are kind of wedged in between two air masses. We have a really humid setup in between, but there is a little bit of dry air higher up in the atmosphere that could bring some breaks in the clouds. I think that the model guidance is kind of overdo the sunshine, but I wanted to show you his bigger picture view because you can now see that next storm system coming our direction. So probably seeing more clouds and fog by about 1011 o'clock tonight, the latest and then by Sunday morning, even if you're an early riser, you're waking up to light rain and persistent rain and it's just going to continue all morning on Sunday, all afternoon. It's a gross feel. Now, the good news is most of this rain is light so that kind of limits the severe aspect to it. But you know, these roads could be a little bit slick because of just the amount of rain, just the duration of it just really lasting all day. There are improvements for Monday morning, we're seeing peaks of sunshine early in the day, but then things cloud over Monday afternoon, we have a northwest wind that's gonna come in and cool us down. So here are your temperatures this afternoon? We're in the mid ff as we close off the evening. How about near 50 again? It's gonna feel a little chillier because we start to introduce rain into the forecast. You're low tonight in Kingston is 40 it's 47 in Yonkers, so not a huge spread and we don't warm up much on Sunday. You're only 45 in Kingston now, that's pretty close to average, but you factor in the rain and it feels so much chillier. Westchester County, maybe parts of Rock County, you could hit 50 tomorrow. But again, this is coming with a guarantee that it is gonna rain. Now, there could be a few dry breaks, but most of the day is gonna be wet and then for the work week, we dry out. So, you know, good timing. If you have plans for the work week, 50 on Monday might be a little optimistic because we do vet northwest breeze in the afternoon. I am expecting a majority of the day to be in the forties and then we are stuck in the low forties for Wednesday for Thursday. The first night of Hanukkah looks very cold and so does Wednesday night at 26. That's gonna be pretty chilly next weekend we rebound, close to average, but we're tracking a chance for some precipitation. So we'll keep an eye on it for you. You're watching News? 12.

It's gonna cool down again in the 10 day. Let's talk about the bigger issue, which is going to be the rain tomorrow. So we do have cloudy skies all weekend, obviously a fog out there this morning too. So that's creating some visibility issues. But on Sunday, it is a steady rain for a good chunk of the day. So today is the pick out of the weekend. There'll be some peaks of sunshine this afternoon around lunch, but not much of it. Temperatures are in the mid ff maybe even upper fifties if we get enough sunshine, but I would not count on the sun. It's gonna be a possibility that we, you got a few breaks in the clouds, but most of the day is pretty cloudy. This is 5 p.m. the sun is already set and temperatures are still in the fifties. So you don't need the heavy winter jacket. Just a light jacket. Today will do dinner time is mainly dry, but after 89 o'clock, there could be some spritzes and stray showers. It's a all day full LG wash out on Sunday, light rain in the morning, check this out. Temperatures are in the fifties in the morning, that's above average for the afternoon at this point in the year. But we don't warm up on Sunday. It's gonna stay 50 all day with this very persistent, very steady and very damp rain that just sticks around until I'd say about six o'clock or so. So, if you have any brunch lunch, early dinner plans Sunday, I just don't see a lot of opportunity for dry time for you here. So we're gonna keep that in mind. Temperatures are not bad all the way through Monday. We're hanging out in the fifties. Today's high of 56 is the warmest that we've actually seen since mid November morning. Lows are in the forties, so no worries about frost. No worries about cold when you're stepping out the door. Tuesday morning, we're back down to 36. So that's kind of setting the stage for a cooler upcoming work week, 46 there, 43 on Wednesday and 42 on Thursday. It's not the coldest set we've seen, but it is definitely pretty chilly for that first night of Hanukkah. Expected to definitely feel like it is December, but we rebound a little bit next weekend with another chance for some rain. Just a little heads up on that. But the work week does look dry. Not that we want to talk about the work week on a Saturday, but that's how it's shaping up

Simmons eager for Nets ‘fresh start’

Hi everybody. I'm Kevin Maher. The Brooklyn nets were supposed to be an NBA superteam but Covid injuries and a disgruntled star ruined it. Well now that star is gone, replaced by a three time All Star who says he's ready to help. Here's Pat O'keefe on paper. It sounds really good. A three time All Star former All NBA player and a two time member of the NBA all defensive team and he's still just 25 years old. But with Ben Simmons there is more than meets the eye for me. It was just making sure mentally I was right to get out there and play against. That's something I've been, you know, dealing with in last season's playoffs. Simmons shot just 34% from the free throw line, causing him to shy away from wide open shots like this potential dunk that would have tied the game in the fourth quarter of a game seven that his team would lose after perceived criticism from his head coach and at least one teammate Simmons demanded a trade sitting out this entire season citing that he was not mentally ready to play. I've had some dark times over these last six months And I'm just happy to be in this situation with this team. So what was the hardest part of sitting out during which simmons reportedly forfeited more than $19 million dollars in salary, not doing what I love. Um that was definitely the most difficult part, especially for that long Simmons wouldn't put a timeline on when he'll be ready to play, but he's confident that when he teams up with Kevin Durant and Kyrie Irving, Brooklyn will be able to eighth place in the Eastern Conference. Don't be scary. Um, having those guys run alongside me, and I think that at the pace we want to play, that it's going to be unreal.
