News 12 Storm Watch Meteorologist Sam Augeri says a damp Friday, a dry Saturday and a potentionally rainy Mother's Day is on the way.

HEADLINES:

• Coastal Flood Advisory for Western LI 11 p.m. to 3 a.m.

• A chilly and wet finish to the week. Expect showers on Friday especially in the morning and early afternoon. Chilly with an easterly breeze, but drying out with sunshine for Saturday.

• Mostly cloudy and cool on Mother's Day with hit and miss showers, mostly in the afternoon. It won't be a terrible day and we could see some sunshine from time to time

OVERNIGHT: Cloudy and chilly with lows near 47. Showers likely by morning. East southeast wind 5 to 15 mph. Sunrise: 5:40.

FRIDAY: Cloudy and cooler with showers. Breezy at times. Highs near 57 with east winds 10 to 20 mph. Sunset: 7:59. Cloudy at night with showers ending. Lows near 46. Northeast wind 5 to 15 mph.
