A violent home invasion and burglary left a Shirley man hospitalized Saturday. Police say three armed burglars stormed a home on Alcolade Drive East around 11:30 p.m. Friday and demanded money. Police say tenant 33-year-old Eric Bullock struggled with one of the suspects and was shot in the abdomen. Neighbors say Bullock rents the house and believe the alleged burglars were attempting to hold up the landlord's wife. Police will not say whether the house was targeted or not. Bullock was taken to the hospital and remains in stable condition. Police ask any one with information is asked to call Suffolk Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.
