Commuters should expect delays on the Ronkonkoma branch as work continues to repair tracks after a Long Island Rail Road train slammed into a car east of Farmingdale last night.
The MTA announced that trains will resume service this morning, but will operate on one of two tracks between Farmingdale and Deer Park.
As of 4:58 a.m., the MTA says bus service is available between Farmingdale and Ronkonkoma.
Three adult passengers on the train were injured and two had to be taken to the hospital. None of the crew or anyone in the car was injured.
According to the MTA, 40 people total were on the train.
The incident completely suspended service on the line throughout the night until this morning.
The MTA is encouraging customers to use the TrainTime app for the latest schedule changes.
