A serial bank robber was sentenced Tuesday to nearly 15 years in prison.
Romell Nellis was given 176 months in prison for committing four bank robberies on Long Island.
Nellis pleaded guilty to robbing a West Hempstead bank twice, a Valley Stream bank once and a Hempstead bank once.
The holdups happened while he was out on bond awaiting sentencing on a drug trafficking conviction.
