If you’re looking for a little holiday sparkle and maybe your own movie moment, Serendipity 3’s Times Square location is serving it up.
The iconic New York City dessert destination, made famous by the 2001 film "Serendipity," has opened its second restaurant in the heart of Times Square.
Just like the original uptown spot, the location blends whimsy, nostalgia and the shop’s signature over-the-top desserts, including the world-famous frozen hot chocolate.
Creative director Joe Calderone, who has been with the restaurant for 40 years, says the Times Square outpost offers a fresh take on the classic.
“It’s not the vintage of the original location, but it is a reimagined, eclectic Serendipity vibe,” he said.
Calderone is behind every menu item and its presentation. That includes new boozy holiday treats this season. The restaurant has partnered with Betty Booze, Blake Lively’s sparkling cocktail line, to create dessert cocktails that take indulgence to the next level.
“We created these incredible dessert cocktails,” Calderone said. “We actually insert another cocktail inside the drink.”
Special items will be on the menu all holiday season.
