A missing 5-year-old Stony Brook boy has been found safe, after police say his mother abducted him.
Police had been searching for Sebastian Kapp since June 9. That's when his mother, Kristin Kapp, failed to turn him over to Suffolk County Child Protective Services and his father reported him missing.
The child's father had previously had an order of protection that prohibited contact with the child, but that order recently expired.
It's not clear where Sebastian was found, or whether his mom is facing any charges.
The boy is in custody of Suffolk County Child Protective Services.
