All schools in the Southampton School District were evacuated Monday due to an emailed threat, school officials say.

The district received an email around 10:30 a.m. that multiple devices had been planted in the school and would go off at some point on Monday.

In a message sent home to parents, students from Southampton High School and Southampton Intermediate School were evacuated to the Southampton Fire House at 11:50 a.m.

Students at the Southampton Elementary School were evacuated to the Presbyterian Church at 12:20 p.m.

Police from the village and the town along with two K-9 units from state police searched all of the school buildings and no device was found.

At this point, all buildings were deemed to be safe.
